Many fans were taken aback when the first Spider-Man game by Insomniac Games ended with the death of Peter’s Aunt May. The beloved supporting character succumbed to the Devil’s Breath disease that Doctor Octopus spread. Peter Parker had the opportunity to save her with the only vial of the antidote but stopped himself when he realized that they needed the cure to make more and heal the rest of New York. That said, you can now pay respect to Aunt May’s passing by visiting her grave in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Aunt May’s Grave Location in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Appropriately, Aunt May is buried next to Uncle Ben’s grave in Spider-Man 2. Uncle Ben’s gravestone is in the same location as it was in the first Spider-Man game. You can find Uncle Ben’s and Aunt May’s gravestones in the Harlem Cemetery. Find the gravesite on the upper left corner of the Harlem map in the game. Officer Jefferson’s tombstone is also located in the Harlem cemetery.
As Peter Parker, the amazing Spider-Man, you can interact with Uncle Ben’s and Aunt May’s tombstones. Peter will pay respect and stare at the graves. You gain the You Know What to Do trophy for interacting with the gravestones. It’s a somber reminder of how much Peter has lost and the lasting consequence that the first game established.
The tombstones are a nice little easter egg that players can find if they explore the world enough. Other touching easter eggs in the game include a heartwarming Black Panther reference at the Wakandan Embassy in honor of the late actor Chadwick Boseman. There’s also a statue honoring Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee in the Upper West Side district..
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 continues Peter Parker’s and Miles Morales’ adventures as Spider-Man. The game is a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
