Starting your adventures in boundless space, you have to visit hundreds of unique planets, assemble a qualified team, and remember to advance through the story quests. So, amid all this variety, it’s no surprise that you might have missed some helpful side content with valuable rewards. One of the soldiers you killed in the Nova Galactic Staryard keeps a note about a secret outpost that you can visit as part of the Mantis side quest. When you get to this location in Starfield, you can find a unique armor set and the Razorleaf ship; we’re here to help you complete this side endeavor.

Before you can go looking for the desired ship, there are a few prerequisites you need to complete.

  1. First of all, you must start the Old Neighborhood quest. As part of this quest, you will travel to the Nova Galactic Staryard and fight Spacers.
  2. After defeating all the enemies, inspect their bodies and take the Secret Outpost note from one of them.
  3. Once you receive this item, you will automatically start the Mantis side quest, leading you to the coveted reward.

But lest you get confused, here are all the steps to complete the Mantis side quest and find the Razorleaf ship in Starfield:

  1. As the note’s title suggests, reading it will tell you about the Secret Outpost, and the quest marker will direct you to the Denebola I-B system.
  2. When you get to the right place, you notice the required location.
  3. Enter and kill all opponents on your way and go deeper into the underground base. Along the way, you will find some containers with valuable loot, so don’t forget to take some Digipicks.
  4. Soon, you will reach a small room with a puzzle on the floor. In short, you must go through the letters to form the word T-Y-R-A-N-N-I-S. But we have a detailed walkthrough of this puzzle if you want more specifics.
  5. When you reach the end of this location, you will find a room with a new Incendiary Mantis Space Suit and a room with a Razorleaf ship.
  6. You only need to go to the foot of the platform with the ship and activate the terminal to bring the Razorleaf to the surface of the outpost.
  7. Exit to the landing strip and enter your new Spacecraft.
