This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

The Minotaur Maze Key is used to access a chest on the picnic table in Grounded. Well-hidden and extremely useful, finding this key is something you most definitely should do. This chest is insanely important, as it contains a milk molar and a recipe for one of the best weapons in the game, the Mint Mace. The Minotaur Maze Key is located somewhere in a broken pipe to the South of the Picnic Table. But the exact location can be pretty tricky to find by yourself.

To get the Minotaur Maze Key, you’ll have to make sure you have some decent underwater cutting tools. The best way to do this is to use a level 2 Bone Dagger. You can’t reach the Minotaur Maze Key without it simply because the broken pipe that contains the Key is mostly underwater.

You can find the Minotaur Maze Key South of the Picnic Table and North of the Sandbox. If you look around, you will find a white pipe that is Exposed in that area and partially submerged in water. You will have to swim down the pipe to find it to get to the Key.

As you swim down the pipe, you’ll want to turn to the left to make your way into the underground sunken tunnel. Keep swimming down that tunnel. Once you reach the end, your path will be blocked by a Soggy Root. This is where your Bone Dagger comes into play. Cut through the Soggy Roots, and you will come face to face with the Minotaur Maze Key directly on the other side.

Using The Minotaur Maze Key

Once you’ve collected the key, you must make it through the maze on top of the picnic table to reach the chest and its awesome rewards. To do this, follow the steps I’ve laid out for you below:

  • Find the shovel that is leaning to the East of the Grounded picnic table
  • Use an explosive, such as a Splatburst Bomb, on the rock that supports the shovel
  • Run up the shovel to the Southern bench
  • Make your way to the end of the Southern Bench and use the thistles that connect the benches to travel to the Northern bench.
  • Run up the stack of books to get to the cooler
  • Hit the big red button on the cooler with a level 2 axe tool
  • Run up the cooler’s handle to make it to the maze on your left
  • Inside the maze, take the first left, the next right, and then straight ahead

Now that you’ve found the chest, hurry to use the Grounded Minotaur Maze Key on it and get its rewards.
