Version 3.4 of Genshin Impact has added a solid amount of exciting new content to the game, such as the Setekh Wenut, a Normal World Boss that resides within the Wenut Tunnels of Sumeru’s Desert of Hadramaveth. These tunnels are also the passageway that Travelers must take to reach the new City of the Deceased Domain, where players can battle enemies for one-time rewards. Naturally, there are many other activities that players can do within the Wenut Tunnels. However, the Domain and Setekh Wenut Boss are likely the primary reasons that users will search for the underground passage in Genshin Impact.

Finding the Wenut Tunnels in Genshin Impact

Wenut Tunnels Entrance Map Location in Genshin Impact

As its name suggests, the Wenut Tunnels in Genshin Impact are beneath the ground surface of the Desert of Hadramaveth in Sumeru. In other words, if players attempt to search for the tunnels in the overworld, they will find nothing but a sandy environment since the target destination is in the subterranean layer of the map.

Genshin Impact content creator KyoStinV states that the Teleport Waypoint south of The Sands of Al-Azif is the best starting point from which players can reach the Wenut Tunnels in Sumeru. For further clarification, users can access this Waypoint by traveling northwest of the Khaj-Nisut ruins and following the elevated main trail leading northward. If players continue on the ridge road northwest of the Passage of Ghouls, a Waypoint should appear on their minimap. This fast-travel POI will be sitting atop a small hill overlooking the Qusayr Al-Inkhida’ subarea of the Desert of Hadramaveth.

Accordingly, once players have accessed the Waypoint, the first thing they must do is head northeastward, making their way down the sandy shelves. Eventually, they will reach a cliff drop leading to the rest of the subarea below; players should keep an eye out for a dirt road leading into an underground cave entrance. This road is also visible on the in-game map. Players can float down into this entrance and continue down the path leading further into the grotto. The title “Dunes of Steel” should appear after players make contact with the ground, indicating they are in the right location. After several seconds of descending into the cavern, the words “Wenut Tunnels” will appear, revealing that Genshin Impact Travelers have arrived at their target destination.

Genshin Impact is available on PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
