Want to know where to get an Oval Stone in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Collecting unique Pokémon has always been the purpose of all Pokémon trainers. In any game, anime, or manga in the Pokemon universe, there have always been hundreds and thousands of creatures that you could catch. At the same time, there have always been those Pokémon that you can get only through evolution, and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are no exception. In addition to natural evolution after leveling up, you can activate the evolution process using definite stones. One of the rarest and most narrowly focused stones is the Oval Stone, and in our guide, you will learn how to get it.

Where to Get an Oval Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

As we said, the Oval Stone is one of the most narrowly focused evolution stones. You can only use this stone to evolve Happiny into Chansey. So many players will find this stone only once. Also, unlike other stones, such as the Thunder Stone, you cannot purchase the Oval Stone from the in-game store. Just like you’re looking for the Sun Stone, you’ll have to look for the Oval Stone.

Even though the Oval Stone is only needed once, you may want a few Chansey’s in your collection. Fortunately, the developers foresaw it, and here is where you should go to get an Oval Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:

  • Explore the central part of the Asado Desert. You should find a small yellow and shiny object. However, be prepared to get a lot of Stardust.
  • Visit Levincia City and head south of the Pokemon Center. Here, you will find the second Oval Stone.
  • Another Oval Stone lies in the middle of the North Province (Areas One & Two). Go a little northwest from a small body of water, and get Oval Stone.
  • Look for another Oval Stone right by the river between separates North Province (Area Two) and East Province (Area Three). This place is far from the city but not far from the river that flows into the sea.
  • In the middle between Casseroya Lake, North Province (Area Two), and East Province (Area Three). On the mountain overlooking the lake, you will get another Oval Stone.
  • Follow the south path to the grotto from Western Province (Area One). Search close to the nearby cliffs.
  • Follow the roads of Alfornada Caverns in South Province (Area Six).

Once you find at least one Oval Stone, you can give it to Happiny. After that, wait until daytime and level up Happiny, after which she will turn into Chansey.
