What are Dream Balls Used for in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Since Dream Balls are so much rarer than the typical Pokéballs, they have to have some sort of special use, right? Dream Balls are especially effective against any Pokémon that has been put to sleep. An excellent method of Pokémon battling is to use sleep-inducing abilities against the enemy Pokémon, and Dream Balls can be made very useful and effective. This will make it extremely easy to capture even some of the strongest Pokémon without an issue on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Where to Get Dream Balls in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Much like some of the other rarer items in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can’t buy Dream Balls from normal shops. In order to find Dream Balls, you’ll have to travel over to the Porto Marinada Auction. From there, you won’t be able to buy Dream Balls outright. Instead, you’ll have to outbid competing buyers to win the auction and take home Dream Balls. However, you won’t be able to just run until the auction and bid on Dream Balls immediately. First, you’ll have to take down Gym Leader Kofu, which won’t be possible until you’ve found his lost wallet and returned it to him.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet auctions work in a way similar to what any others would. You will have to bid against two competitors to win the item you’re going for. However, you should be prepared to spend a bit of money, as Dream Balls aren’t cheap in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

This is everything you need to know about where to get Dream Balls in Pokèmon Scarlet and Violet. Be sure to check back for more useful and interesting guides, and as always, be safe and have fun!

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
