Like a lot of online games, it can be daunting at first as the free-to-play wuxia game throws dozens of currencies at you. Echo Jade, Jade Fish, various Coins and Tokens; each tied to different menus and shops. None of them can simply be hoarded forever, however, so knowing where to spend them wisely will save you from early regret. Here’s our breakdown of the best way to spend money and the most important items in Where Winds Meet‘s cash shop.

Should You Buy the Where Winds Meet Monthly Pass?

If you are planning to spend money, then yes, Monthly Pass is easily one of the best deals in the cash shop. For just $5, you receive 300 Pearls and 90,000 Coins, plus daily login rewards such as 100 Echo Jade and 50 Battle Pass XP. After logging in for 20 days, you’ll also earn a Golden Melody for a high-value gacha pull. Compared to buying Pearls directly, the value is significantly higher.

Even better, the Monthly Pass can stack like MMO subscriptions. That means you can purchase it multiple times and extend its duration if you plan to play for the long term. Just keep in mind that premium currencies are only used for cosmetics.

The paid track of the Battle Pass unlocks when you purchase the Elite Pass for $9.99. Meanwhile, the Premium Pass, which costs around $10 more, mainly adds quality-of-life perks. Below is the breakdown for both

In short, Premium doesn’t really contain pay-to-win items. It just makes things more convenient.

Best Items to Buy in The Seasonal Shop

Currently, all items in the Season Shop can only be bought using Jade Fish, the Season 1 currency. To access the Season Shop, open the Season menu and select the Shop banner. These are all the upgrade items that we suggest you should prioritize instead of cosmetics.

Inner Way Note: Chest

  • Tab: Combat Development.
  • Weekly stock: 20.
  • Cost: 150 Jade Fish.

You will need these Notes to Breakthrough your Inner Way Arts into the next Tiers. Which Note you get from opening a chest is random, though. This item is pretty rare, as aside from Season Shop, you can only get it from completing Battle Pass milestones, Challenges, and some vendors.

Martial Arts: Custom Tips

  • Tab: Combat Development.
  • Weekly stock: 15.
  • Cost: 160 Jade Fish.

Similar to the Note, Martial Arts or weapon classes can only be Breakthroughed using Tips. That’s why hoarding as many of them as you can is essential to level up your character. These are even harder to get as they only drop from Challenges and Sword Trials.

Tier 71 Gear Chest

  • Tab: Gear Chest.
  • Weekly stock: 15 and 10.
  • Cost: 100 Jade Fish.

Save up those Jade Fish for this once you reach endgame farming. Lower gear tiers are quickly outclassed, so we suggest skipping them.

Oscillating Jade

  • Tab: Combat Development.
  • Weekly stock: 100.
  • Cost: 15 Jade Fish.

Speaking of gears, Oscillating Jade is required to enhance them past level 4. For that reason, you will want to stock as many of them as you can.

Life Supplies Support Box

  • Tab: Combat Development.
  • Weekly stock: 10.
  • Cost: 80 Jade Fish.

This pack may seem skippable at first since most of its materials can be gathered out in the world. But don’t ignore it, as it includes Raw Ores and Coarse Furs, which are always useful for crafting. Just like Oscillating Jade, it’s worth keeping them stocked so you’re never stuck when you need materials fast.

Career Notebook

  • Tab: Profession Development.
  • Weekly stock: 500.
  • Cost: 4 Jade Fish.

Required for upgrading your Healer Profession. This lets you craft better healing items and unlock skills that can treat heavier injuries. Especially important if you want to make money or play as a support with friends.

Lingering Melody

  • Tab: Appearance Exchange.
  • Weekly stock: 1.
  • Cost: 200 Echo Jade.

Somewhat hidden at the bottom of the Appearance Exchange tab. You’ll have to max out your weekly 20,000 Jade Fish cap first to be able to purchase it. Lingering Melody can then be exchanged for gacha pulls.

If you have some spare Echo Jades, it can be purchased from the Shop > Items > Jianghu Treasures menu as well. It costs 200 Echo Jade and has 2 weekly purchase limit.

Best Items to Buy in The Battle Pass Shop

You can access the Battle Pass Shop by opening the Battle Pass menu and switching tabs using Q–E / LB–RB / L1–R1, depending on your platform. To spend anything there, you’ll first need to earn Battle Pass Tokens by completing milestones.

Although there’s no weekly cap for the Tokens themselves, your income is still limited. As you can only fill up 8,850 Battle Pass XP per week.

Custom Martial Arts Breakthrough Chest

  • Weekly stock: 2/2.
  • Cost: 2 Battle Pass Tokens.

Again, you will want to spend rare currencies to boost your weapons’ combat capabilities. We, however, don’t really recommend spending Tokens on the standard Upgrade Chest as the materials can be easily procured.

Mystic Skills Breakthrough Chest

  • Weekly stock: 2/2.
  • Cost: 5 Battle Pass Tokens.

Upgrading your Mystic Skills to Tier 2 and beyond requires some rare materials. And this chest is one of the most reliable ways to get them.

Peach Blossom Pack

  • Weekly stock: 2/2.
  • Cost: 5 Battle Pass Tokens.

Contains 10 Peach Branches, each is used to increase 25 Intimacy with a friend. Perfect if you’re trying to deepen a bond and unlock more perks.

If you often dabble in the PVP mode, then don’t forget to grab the Talismans as well. Protection Talisman helps keep your Arena Points safe, while Bonus adds 30 Points as your Arena Ranks are increased.

How To Get The Cash Shop Currencies

Keep in mind that the daily reset in Where Winds Meet happens at 4:00 PM EST, 9:00 PM UTC, while a new week starts every Monday. That’s when all the weekly limits refresh, so make sure to spend your capped currencies before then.
