The next big hit of the Final Fantasy franchise is here, and many players love everything it brings. This new game features a fun combat system that new and old players have liked despite the developers’ worries about it. Yet, one of the best things in the game and many others of the series is its cast of characters. While we’ve met several of them through trailers, now that everyone’s playing the game, there’s a particular one that has stuck with many. Cidolfus Telamon, or Cid, is one of the best Final Fantasy 16 characters, and here we’ll tell you who are the voice actors.
Final Fantasy 16: Cid’s English Voice Actor
We’ll mention the English and Japanese actors who voice this character. The voice actor for Cid in Final Fantasy 16 is Ralph Ineson. If you’re unfamiliar with him, this actor has been on a roll lately because he also voices Lorath in Diablo 4. This is fantastic, as we can observe just how big his voice range is when taking the mantle of a character. Beyond these two characters, Ralph Ineson has also voiced Charles Vane in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Outside of video games, he’s appeared on shows like Game of Thrones and in the 2015 movie The Witch.
Cid Is Voiced By Hiroshi Shirokuma in Japanese
Given how Japanese developers made the game, it is normal for some gamers to play this title in Japanese. Yet, the team behind this title confirmed they first worked on the English dub because it felt more organic. Still, those who play in Japanese will listen to Hiroshi Shirokuma as the voice actor for Cid in Final Fantasy 16. Shirokuma has made several voices, such as Rico Rodriguez in Just Cause 3, Heisenberg in Resident Evil Village, and Yorinobu Arasaka in Cyberpunk 2077.

10 Things Final Fantasy 16 Doesn’t Tell You
As you can see, Square Enix spared no expense for the voice actors in the latest mainline entry. Both actors are fantastic and have played some great roles in their lives. For the latter, we’re glad to see him again in another game that launched recently. He did a terrific job in Diablo 4, and we’re happy to see him voice one of the best characters in Final Fantasy 16. Hopefully, we’ll see or hear more of him in the coming months because he’s nailing every single one of his roles in these recent games.
Final Fantasy 16 is available now on PlayStation 5.
