Each new Genshin Impact patch represents a challenge for some and an easy skip for others. However, for the big and challenging decision of knowing which banner we should invest in, all our Primogems. Especially when we consider which characters we already have and whether or not we get the character of the previous banner and the characters of the following ones, the choice becomes more complex in the banners of Genshin Impact 5.1 when choosing between four amazing girls.
Who is the Best Character in Genshin Impact’s 5.1 Banners?
Xilonen is this Version’s new 5-star character, and because of her kit, many refer to her as the Kazuha Geo. Xilonen has excellent ability as a Support and great team versatility. The feature that stands out the most is her Samples, which are the arrows in her Skill, whose function changes depending on the element of her teammates. If you have any combination of Electro, Pyro, Hydro, or Cryo characters in your team, Xilonen gets DMG RES will apply to these elements. The Samples will improve Xilonen’s DMG if you have more Geo or Anemo characters, but she doesn’t stand out for her attacks. Xilonen relies heavily on her Skill for buffs and healing.
Chiori has a re-run for Genshin Impact 5.1 banners, and she is already known to be an excellent Geo DPS who can do a lot of DMG because of her CRIT scales with ATK and DEF. It will be easier to get artifacts for Chiori, but her best weapon option is her Signature sword, so you need to invest to get it. Although Chiori stands out for her attacks, she can be a good off-field Support. As for teams, although she can adapt to several characters, she really excels more in Geo teams. It is better to have her with characters with a Construct like Itto, Geo Traveller, or Zhongli. So, Chiori can summon another of her dolls and make more DMG.
Nahida is the best Support of her Element. She relies heavily on her Skill, which marks the enemies you hit and “binds” them, so if you attack any of them, they all take DMG. Her Skill range is higher than that of many characters. Nahida’s Burst provides great buffs depending on the Elements of her teammates. If you have a Pyro character, Nahida’s Skill DMG increases; if you have an Electro, you can use Nahida’s Skill more, and if you have a Hydro, Nahida’s Burst will last longer. Nahida works excellently with higher Elemental Mastery; also, with Dendro, you can do many Elemental Reactions more easily.
Hu Tao makes a great DMG with Vaporize teams, but although he can work with several characters, her best teams are Yelan and Xingqiu, or both. You need to take characters with a lot of Hydro application, so although Furina is a good choice, it is not enough for Hu Tao. Also, Hu Tao does more DMG with low HP, so I don’t recommend taking a Healer with her; maybe you can do better with a Shielder. Hu Tao is an excellent DPS but can be challenging to handle. Also, it is best to equip her signature weapon, but it will cost you more.
Xilonen is a great option, even if you already have Kazuha, but if her kit doesn’t attract you, you can skip her. If you already have other Geo characters (mainly 5-star), Chiori can easily adapt to your team, even with other DPS. On the other hand, Hu Tao is a great character, but nowadays, there are other DPS that do better DMG, which are easier to use and don’t need so many resources. However, if you don’t have Nahida, I think she is one of the most versatile and valuable characters, especially if you play with more Elemental Reactions. Remember that you can adapt your equipment and rotation to any character you want or just pull for the one you like the most. I would also keep in mind that the Pyro Archon will be in another Version of Genshin Impact.
