Amanda Batula says Carl Radke’s exit from Loverboy isn’t surprising due to his sobriety. Amanda Batula and Carl Radke started working at the company since its inception, and his exit is a blow. Read on to get further details.
Carl Radke Exits Loverboy
Carl Radke exited Loverboy and confirmed his move last week. The 38-year-old was an investor and VP of Sales at the company where he worked for over three years. However, he will remain an investor at Loverboy.
The Summer House star said working at the company didn’t feel authentic anymore, so it became a challenge.
“When we’re standing in bars and traveling all around, and doing all this stuff, and I’m looking at it, I’m like, this doesn’t align necessarily authentic with me,” he told ET last week. “It’s challenging, the environment.”
Carl decided to lead a sober lifestyle which many think is the reason for his stepping back. However, fans also speculated that Carl’s exit could have resulted from his fights with Kyle Cooke.
The trailer for the upcoming season of Summer House showed Kyle shouting that Carl could “walk away from the company right now and the company won’t feel a f–king thing.”
Carl admitted that the season might be hard to watch for viewers, but he remains positive about the future. The TV personality also shared that he and Kyle are working on the friend aspect.
Amanda Batula Says Carl Walked Away Because Of His Sobriety
Amanda Batula and Carl Radke both worked at Loverboy, and although married to Kyke, Amanda says he’s always welcome back.
Amanda revealed that she and Kyle “always” felt Carl would one day leave their Loverboy because of his sober lifestyle.
“It’s a bummer,” the Summer House star told Page Six on Monday. ‘We love Carl. He’s been a part of the business with us from the beginning, and when he decided to become sober — which was obviously for the best — we always knew that there was a chance that he would end up parting ways.”
The Loverboy Creative Director acknowledged that it could be challenging working with an alcohol company or “being around people” drinking while remaining sober.
The reality star added that she and Kyle are thankful he stayed that long. She noted that it is inevitable for one to move on, but she is also happy their friendship is intact.
Amanda added that she and Kyle will always welcome Carl if he decides to return. However, she acknowledged that the move had been a “bittersweet” transition.
The 31-year-old said it’s similar to a breakup adding that the friendship and relationship are still there. However, with Kyle’s rant in the trailer, Carl Radke’s exit from Loverboy may mean the end of their friendship.
