Even though it’s the NFL’s offseason, the release of EA’s Madden 25 is just a few months away. That means the new cover athlete will be anounced very soon. Last season, it was the Bill’s Josh Allen. However, they may be getting back to the defending champs as Travis Kelce is likely to get the honors this year. With Kelce’s newfound popularity thanks to his relationship with Taylor Swift, he has quickly become the NFL’s cash cow.

According to Give Me Sport, If Rob Gronkowski can make the cover with the help of Tom Brady. Why shouldn’t Travis Kelce be able to do it with the help of his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes? Kelce was incredible to watch down the stretch last season. He also topped it off with a touchdown in the Super Bowl as the Chiefs walked away with the win there as well.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Took Football by Storm

Now, Kelce is more popular than ever. If EA wants to make more money, it would most likely try to capitalize on Taylor Swift. While Swift probably doesn’t want anything to do with the game, Kelce still has a great chance to be the cover athlete.

Travis Kelce finished the 2023-24 season with 984 receiving yards and five touchdowns. However, he also led all players in yards, receptions, and touchdowns in the playoffs. If there were ever a clear-cut cover athlete for Madden 25, it would be number 87 for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Although many “fans” were upset about Swift’s involvement with the NFL, the league made a huge amount of money with her bringing in new viewers. The Swifties took over the NFL and boosted the ratings through the roof.

That doesn’t happen without Travis Kelce. The NFL needs to reward the man who dominated the postseason and helped attract new fans. Being the Cover athlete for Madden 25 would be the perfect thank you.
