Every couple’s wedding is different and likely reflects their own personal style. However, one Maryland bride took things to a whole new level when she let loose at the altar after asking her niece to step up and sing a rendition of Miley Cyrus’ hit song, Wrecking Ball, and the result was true internet gold. The clip from the wedding had social media talking, and the comment section buzzing.
The TikTok video, posted by user @KookedKam, started in what appeared to be the middle or end of the wedding ceremony. A bride and groom are seen at the altar with the officiant. The Maryland bride wears a white dress with a veil. Meanwhile, the groom dons a pair of black pants, a white shirt, a tan jacket, and a matching bowtie.
The two look happily in love as off to the side, a younger woman in a brown dress is seen with a microphone in her hand. She holds her phone in the other hand as she reads the lyrics to Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball and sings the tune with no background music.
Maryland Bride Brings Out Her Inner Miley Cyrus During Wedding Ceremony

The bride seems to be loving the performance. She starts nodding her head to the song before getting dramatic with her movements. Eventually, she grabs a fistful of her groom’s shirt and starts to bend her knees and dip her hips. She then drops it low and begins to move her head around in circles as the crowd laughs and cheers.
Things may have gotten a bit too graphic for the officiant, who turned his back and diverted his eyes after seeing the display. “Priest looking for holy water,” one person hilariously stated in the comments.
When the bride stood back up she wrapped her arms around her groom and the two embraced lovingly. The bride jumped up and down as the crowd laughed before they applauded the woman who finished the song.
“POV your aunt wants you to sing Wrecking Ball at her wedding,” the caption of the video reads. She also added that she loved her aunt to death, but called her “wild.”
Of course, TikTok couldn’t help but weigh in on the hilariously weird wedding video. “This can’t be real,” one comment read. “Everybody is gonna need baptized after this,” joked another. “My jaw actually dropped,” one person declared.
It may have been an unconventional wedding ceremony for this Maryland couple, but it certainly looks like their relationship is full of love and fun.
