The long-awaited shooter from Capcom has finally been released, meaning you can plunge into a futuristic world filled with battles with dinosaurs. To win, you have to use different Exosuits with unique abilities and weapons. However, without teamwork, you won’t be able to survive encounters with Neosaurs, so read on to learn all about Crossplay and Cross-Progression in Exoprimal.

Does Exoprimal Have Crossplay?

Exoprimal is a multiplayer shooter about fighting hordes of dinosaurs. Although the game has content for solo players, most of the time, you will spend fighting in a team with other players. To prevent any problems with co-op play, Exoprimal offers a Crossplay feature. However, there are several nuances about it.

The developers have stated that they are actively searching the ways to implement a complete Crossplay in Exoprimal. This way, all their players will play with each other without any restrictions. In the meantime, Exoprimal only features partial Crossplay between certain platforms:

PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5
Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S
Steam

As you can see, console players can only play with the players using the same platform, except on PC. But it is worth noting that Steam players can only play with other Steam players.

If your friends play on Xbox consoles, you must purchase the game through the Windows Store. This partial Crossplay greatly limits matchmaking in Exoprimal. However, we hope the developers will keep their word and increase the available platforms for this feature.

Does Exoprimal Have Cross-Progression?

Cross-Progression is an integral part of many multiplayer games. This feature allows you to change game devices without losing your game progress. However, the developers did not say a word about the possibility of sharing game progress between devices. This may be because they are still actively working on Crossplay in Exoprimal for all gaming platforms. Therefore, we hope that Capcom will add this feature in future versions of the game.
