ICE is a menace that just doesn’t quit, no matter where you live or which party you affiliate with. Californiaย has been a hotbed of ICE activity, from the LA riots to No Kings Day; there is no shortage of incidents such as this caught on video. Innocent people all over California are being accosted daily, and one elderly Hispanic man in Wilmington found that out firsthand, and it was all captured on video.
The whole thing was shared on the EyesOnIce Reddit by the infamous user CantStopPoppin. In the clip, which appears to be surveillance footage of the Hispanic man in question, who goes by the name Jose Campollo, a resident who has lived in the United States for over three decades.
Jome is near his gate, when a burly ICE officer is standing right in front of him, with an assault rifle pointed in his face, he then rears back and kicks Jose square in the chest, even though Jose wasn’t even doing anything or in any danger of running away. It is a brutal and unprovoked assault that comes with the territory lately, as ICE continues its mission to arrest and deport seemingly every brown person they can, regardless of legal status.
Many folks had things to say about the unjust detainment of this Wilmington father.
“Ice is gonna need all that money they got to pay out civil claims in 7 years.“
“Time to point them back”
Jose’s children spoke to KTLA 5 and offered their own statements about the incident that their father experienced in front of their home. Beatriz, his daughter, had this to say about what she witnessed.
I saw my dad being handcuffed with my brother next to him. Then I saw when they took him, and I just started crying in the car. I didnโt know what to do.โ
It’s a crying shame, and the family is having trouble getting help simply due to the massive number of cases being filed by ICE and their negligent tactics across California. Jose is still being held at a detention center while they await his fate.
