From the indie developers that brought you The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, aka The Astronauts, has revealed their latest game at The Game Awards. Witchfire, a first-person shooter that combines dark fantasy with a haunting landscape in such a way that’ll fully immerse you into a world of monsters, revolvers, and zombie-skeletons. Check out the reveal the trailer from The Game Awards below.
There’s no set release date for Witchfire at the moment, nor did the trailer reveal what platforms the game would be available on. Being developed in Unreal Engine, you can see the amount of detail put into the spooky looking world where the hero traverses. No real plot for the game has been released either, so what you see is what you get at the moment. Want more? The Astronauts was originally created by three friends in 2012. They began their new venture after they founded and left People Can Fly, the developer behind Painkiller, Bulletstorm, and Gears of War: Judgement, and more recently Fortnite.
