Recently, one of the most festive times of the year ended, and we welcomed 2025. At these types of celebrations and many others, it is very common to cheer everyone up with fireworks. However, there are people out there who demonstrate how you should not interact with pyrotechnics. Such is the case of a woman in a Reddit video who gets hit by fireworks on her balcony for not leaving the window closed. It could have escalated to much worse in seconds, but fortunately, it was just a scare.
Redditor Epileptic_Ebola shared on the subreddit r/AbruptChaos that a couple and their dog wanted to enjoy the fantastic fireworks show from the comfort of an apartment. Wanting to live the experience more immersively, these young people believed that leaving the window open was the better option, but it was this that made them viral. As the couple leaned out the window, their dog barked in alarm, quickly running away from them. This alarm came too late, and the next second of the Reddit video, the fireworks hit the woman’s chest, and then a spark burned the floor. Fortunately, the girl removed the cinders quickly, and it looked like she had no injuries.
Many would agree with this comment. However, another Redditor focuses on a more critical point: This incident could have been much worse. Fortunately, this was not the case.
No one ever expects things to take such an unexpected turn. Nobody could imagine a fireworks display striking inside a building, but they were dangerously close. Maybe next time this couple wants to watch a fireworks show, they should consider safety measures and be more attentive to their dog’s warnings. Many users noticed the insistence of the mascot, who clearly knew that something terrible would happen. It is a relief that this was not serious.
