Sometimes, it’s funny to see Karens going wild in the middle of a mall for the silliest reasons. However, we don’t always think too much about the reasons behind these outbursts or why the attitude of these people is so erratic. Many discussions about this started on Reddit because of a video of a crazy woman losing it to the point of yelling and offending her boyfriend in the airport. Whatever the situation, you have to be careful when someone is acting so out of it; there are many cases in which a Karen or a Ken escalates their behavior to a much worse one.
The video is very short, but the cameraman records a couple at the airport in the following sitting line. The girlfriend is quite upset and is already yelling at her boyfriend, not caring that other people around her are listening. At one point, the crazy woman from Reddit turns around and sees more people filming in the airport, but she doesn’t seem to care. Moreover, the girl goes back to see her boyfriend and keeps yelling things like she hates him, saying that he shouldn’t have been rushing her, using insults, and calling him a loser. As far as we can see, the boyfriend tries to calm her down, but it doesn’t work. The video ends there, but those few minutes of discussion were enough for the Redditors to form a strong opinion about the woman.
Lose her ticket, get on that flight and never come back. Or better, let her get on it, say you left something at the gate and watch her disappear into the distance.

Most of the comments agree that the girlfriend’s attitude is simply domestic abuse and that everyone should be careful with this type of person. Also, the users show sympathy and solidarity with the guy.
I dated a girl like that for some years. They break you down so slowly over time you don’t even realize how abusive it is until you’re out and on the other side of it. Big hug for the homie here.

Many more people also wanted to point out that there are many aggressive and abusive people, and not because they are women or appear to be “weaker,” one should let them mistreat us.
Remember: if someone is willing to freak out like this in public, knowing they are being recorded, 9/10 times they are willing to do a lot worse. Just because she’s a girl, and much smaller than him physically, doesnt mean she cant be abusive.

So, the most important thing is that everyone can have a safe place and a group that can support them. However, the most important thing is to be alert to microaggressions because they can quickly escalate to unsuspected levels.
