A woman in Georgia is asking the public to stay alert after multiple witnesses reported seeing strange men allegedly visiting residential areas across the state to record people’s homes and mailboxes. The woman, who said she also encountered one of the men herself, shared her experience in a TikTok video, explaining that the incident happened while she was sitting under her carport one day.
According to her account, the man pulled up to her neighborhood in a silver Prius and stopped in the road. After getting out of the vehicle, she alleged that he began recording parts of her fence, her neighbor’s home, and her neighbor’s mailbox using his phone.
Feeling uneasy, the woman said she turned on her own phone camera and confronted the man, asking what he was doing and whether he knew the neighbor who lived there. She claimed he did not know the homeowner’s name, which immediately raised red flags for her. “I’m like, this is really sketchy. And his tag was blurred out,” she said, adding that the neighbor’s house was not even up for sale for anyone to be documenting it in the first place.
Reports From Other Areas
According to the woman, she later received messages from people across Georgia, including residents from areas such as Wrightsville, Dublin, Warner Robins, and Douglas, who said they had experienced similar encounters involving individuals allegedly recording their properties.
She said some residents contacted their local police departments, while others sent her photos and Ring camera footage showing people recording homes, mailboxes, and doorbell cameras. The woman described the individuals as looking “Middle Eastern,” having “pretty heavy accents” and said they did not speak “good English,” based on her observations.
“I don’t know if this is some kind of hacking attempt,” she speculated in the video. “It is connected to FLOC, which is law enforcement, and they can gather IP addresses. So I feel like this is a bigger security threat on a much bigger level.”
The woman also shared Ring camera footage showing a man running up to a home with his phone held horizontally, as if taking a photo. After appearing to capture something near the front of the house, the man quickly turned around and ran back toward the street.
How People Are Reacting
In the comments section, many viewers speculated about what might be behind the reported incidents. “They are trying to get codes to cars that are locked. Literally,” one person wrote. Another remarked, “He’s probably trying to hack Ring cameras.” A third added, “They are coming to take over our country. Eyes wide open.”
Several others said they had either witnessed similar behavior or seen reports in their own communities. One netizen commented, “This happened last week. Two Middle Eastern men pulled into our driveway and got out. When my fiancé came outside, they got back in their cars and left. Very weird.” Another said, “It’s been all over our Facebook page here in rural Harris County, Georgia. Still not sure what’s going on.”
