A woman in Allerton, New York, was harassed inside a local laundromat by two other customers who confronted her about using a washing machine they claimed was not hers. The altercation reportedly happened at EZ II Laundromat on Allerton Avenue.
According to the woman, who was with her 8-year-old daughter at the time, she had placed her laundry in an available washer when one of them began arguing that the machine was theirs, even though there were no clothes inside. When she refused to remove her items, the situation quickly turned ugly.
The one who began the argument allegedly told her, “I’ll [expletive] you up right now,” while the second person joined in and said, “Are you even legal here? … I’ll call ICE right now.” The mother said she was shocked that such words were being spoken in front of her child, who looked frightened by the sudden outburst from the two strangers. “My daughter was getting scared and they didn’t care how they were talking to me at all,” the woman wrote in the caption of her video uploaded on TikTok. She also added that the man working at the laundromat witnessed the entire confrontation but did not step in or say anything.

Later on, one of the women took her clothes out of the machine and threw them on the floor. When the mother took out her phone and started recording, daring them to call ICE if that was their intention, the other woman tried to grab the phone from her hand but failed. Eventually, the Allerton woman called her husband to pick her up and help her retrieve her belongings because she no longer felt safe. However, when her husband arrived, the two women changed their behavior and claimed she had been the one to start the dispute. “When my husband got there, they began acting like the victims,” she said. “I just wanted my daughter safe. She was already scared.”
