Wonder Boy Asha in Monster World, a 1994 classic, comes back to life in a remastered version next year. Announced by its publisher ININ games and its developer STUDIOARTINK, this 90s game will have three limited-edition releases scheduled next year. Now accepting pre-orders exclusively via Strictly Limited Games Partner Store, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch players can travel back to their childhood in 2021.

All the Wonder Boy Asha limited-edition and the retail edition release are all remastered from the classic 1994. The development team was lead by the creator of the Wonder Boy series himself, Ryuichi Nishizawa. Together with Nishizawa are the original development team: Shinichi Nakamoto for the sounds, Maki Ōzora for character design, and Takanori Kurihara as the creative manager.

The team will bring a fresh new look to Wonder Boy Asha in Monster World. This will include:

  • Character voices which are first time to the series
  • Remastered graphics with 2.5D design
  • New dynamic and impressive cutscenes and animations
  • Remastered sound and soundtracks by Shinichi Nakamoto himself
  • And additional easy mode to make the game playable by anybody

Wonder Boy Asha in Monster World exclusive physical editions are available in three variants:

  • Limited Edition for €39.99 that is limited to 3,500 copies for Nintendo Switch and 1,700 copies for PlayStation 4.

  • Collector’s Edition for €99.99, limited to 2,500 copies for Nintendo Switch and 1,200 copies for PlayStation 4.

This game is a series of videogames by Sega. The very first title was released in 1986 as an arcade game. Its latest release is Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom in 2018 that was recently ported to Microsoft Windows and Stadia.
