World War Z, the hit co-op third-person shooter from Saber Interactive, is getting a Game of the Year edition. The edition will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC starting May 5th. World War Z Game of the Year Edition brings together everything World War Z has along with all its DLC and a new bonus episode. It will be available for $44.99 on the Epic Games Store along with $49.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive took to their various social media accounts to announce the news.
The bonus content coming with World War Z GOTY Edition includes an entirely new episode located in France. You’ll travel across the city of Marseille in three new maps, following the story of four new characters on their way out of the city. It promises to be just as good as the game’s other episodes if not even better. Joining it are several weapons and character packs. These include the Lobo, Biohazard, Military and Last Aid Weapon Packs along with the Professional and War Hero character skin packs. It wouldn’t be a GOTY Edition without the content that’s been released already, including a year of PvE episodes. There’s tons of content here, making this the best way to get into World War Z.
For those who don’t know what World War Z is, it’s a co-op shooter based on the popular franchise. As a member of one of four survivors, you must arm yourself and fight against hordes of zombies in the quest to escape infested cities. With many classes and an arsenal of weapons, you’ll become an effective zombie killer and fight for humanity. There’s also the recently added Horde Mode Z, a wave-based mode for those who want to shake things up.
