It’s that time of the year, our fellow MMO players! BlizzCon 2023 is at full speed, and one of the biggest reveals was that of The War Within expansion coming to WoW. While we all knew the new expansion would be revealed this year, we had no idea about its theme or how great the cinematic would look. Thankfully, for the latter, Blizzard never disappoints and showed an amazing trailer featuring some of Warcraft’s most iconic characters. Now, all that remains is to wait for the expansions release in 2024.
WoW: The War Within Aims for a 2024 Release Date
According to the trailer, the new expansion will be released sometime in 2024. Besides that, the reveal points to a new saga beginning in Blizzard’s MMO. The Worldsoul saga might be the new narrative arc for the game, pointing at something new after the players beat the Legion and the denizens of the Shadowlands. This is great and refreshing, as many think the game became stale regarding its lore. Also, we’re happy to see some old characters returning, such as Thrall and Anduin.
If you missed the trailer and the showcase, here’s what is coming to WoW: The War Within:
- New Zones
- Azj-Kahet
- Isle of Dorn
- The Ringing Deeps
- Hallowfall
- Delves
- Dungeon-like instances.
- Warbands
- Hero Talents
- Earthen Allied Race
- Dynamic Flight
- New Dungeons and Raids
Right now, it’s too early to say these are all the additions coming to the expansion. Hopefully, there’s a new class coming to the game, too. Also, a few players aren’t happy with the new Allied Race, as it is yet another Dwarf-like race, of which we have many. So, let’s watch out for more news regarding this expansion, which promises to be one of the biggest. And if you haven’t, there’s still plenty to do in Dragonflight to prepare for the new content.
