Writer Eric Kripke says that nothing in the series has done (and will do) will top Amazon Prime’s The Boys Season 3 Episode “Herogasm”. The show-runner confirmed back in January that the 6th episode would be based on its comic book counterpart. Fans of the comic know what the episode is sure to bring the heroes and a week-long getaway. “From day one, everyone dared me to make the episode,” Kripke said in a tweet.

The Boys Season 3

As he spoke with Vanity Fair, he also claims that the episode is the peak of “crazy” for The Boys.  “There will be no topping ‘Herogasm’. Now that I’ve seen the dailies of this thing, I’m like, what have we done? It’s just so crazy.” This is not the first time Kripke has hyped an episode of The Boys like this, and knowing him the episode deserves all the hype and warnings. At the same time as his excitement, Kripke says that he feels like there is an obligation not to go overboard with The Boys season 3.

They’ve always let us do what we wanted to do. But I think because of that it comes with a responsibility to moderate  and modulate ourselves. You never want to fall on the side of just being gratuitous and gross.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time The Boys has seen graphic violence and other situations. Its TV-MA rating (along with its many Emmy nominations) is well deserved. But knowing all of these, fans will just have to wait and see how The Boys season 3 treats this crazy (and graphic) storyline.

The Boys 3 Seasons and Road to an Emmy

The Boys tells the story of modern society with secretly corrupt superheroes. The series focuses mainly on two different groups; The Seven (the strongest superheroes in a Justice League type group) and the Boys (a group of vigilantes set to bring the corrupt superheroes down). The show has been praised for its writing, storyline, humor, and amazing performances of the cast.

The Boys Season 3

Currently, both seasons of The Boys are available to stream on Amazon Prime. There is no official release date for The Boys Season 3 but it is expected in 2021. The show also has rumors of being renewed for a fourth season, but these have not been confirmed nor denied.
