Many of us are already waiting for Camellya to become a playable Resonator with much longing, especially because she was available during the Closed Beta. However, everything points to this flower girl not making it to the game, at least not immediately. According to new leaks, Xiangli Yao and Zhezhi will be the next to enter the roster of playable units in Wuthering Waves.
If you’re unfamiliar with Xiangli Yao’s name, believe me, he’s not a character you may have seen or heard of. You see, Yao is the Chief Researcher of Huaxu Academy in Jinzhou. Also, his first appearance was during the Release Trailer: Waking of a World, where he is together with Mortefi in a laboratory. Apparently, this character will arrive soon together with Zhezhi since in Version 1.1, audio effects banks for both of them were added, although there is nothing about their voices. Besides, other Wuthering Waves leaks of Xiangli Yao are already talking about his supposed skills, such as how this scientist will fight using mainly his arm prosthesis.
Unlike Xiangli Yao, Zhezhi remains shrouded in mystery. There are not enough leaks or information to unveil who Zhezhi is or anything significant about their story in Wuthering Waves. The lack of details has sparked skepticism, with many questioning if both characters will be part of the same banner, especially if they are both males. Time will reveal more about these Resonators, but for now, they are the leading contenders to follow in the footsteps of Magistrate Jinhsi and her counselor, Changli.
There are also no traces of Camellya. Whether she will make an appearance remains to be seen. However, if these are just leaks, these rumors are very useful when deciding who to spend your Astrite with. I’ve already decided on one of the two, but we’ll see when their kits arrive.
