The Kuro Games team just made a huge change to their gacha, changing the rating to 16+. Instantly, players lost their minds, thinking of the possible new demos, characters, and more “mature” situations, like one of the Cantarella trailers, that were about to come. However, all hope was dashed, as many players noticed that Wuthering Waves made a couple of unexpected changes to the models of Cantarella and Fleurdelys.
Cantarella is a character who became very popular as one of the new waifus of Wuthering Waves, especially for her more revealing clothes, physics, and seductive personality. Yet, the Resonator and her clothes were viral because the part between her legs was too notorious, especially after the character touched water. With the new change, Cantarella’s model became less detailed.
Another Wuthering Waves character who experienced a similar change or censorship was the Boss, Fleurdelys. Fleurdelys is also another character who has a very short “dress,” and to show less, her last model had a garment similar to a black bikini or panties. But for the new model, this same garment became a bigger short—something similar to what happened to Anby’s beta thong in ZZZ.
These adjustments to the 3D models caused annoyance, at least in the Western gaming fanbase, especially because of the recent rating change. However, we must remember that this rating system for games like Kuro Games is from China, so the “protection or censor” policies change too much from country to country. This same Chinese rating system also prevents more explicit violence or blood, and of course, anything related to nudity. Although WuWa now has a classification for teenagers, it remains to be seen what this change will mean in the future. Rover and his friends were bordering on more suggestive content since the launch, and it has increased over time, although it’s still not as blatant.
