Marvel is celebrating a lot with its upcoming X-Men #35. For starters, the comic represents the 700th issue of the Uncanny X-Men. To honor that milestone, Marvel has unveiled a special cover packed to the brim with mutants. Then, the issue will help usher in the new era of the X-Men. So, it is filled with an extra special story that brings together some prominent artists and writers who helped shape the Krakoan Age. What better way to send the X-Men into the next era than with those who helped make the last one so special?

Marvel is preparing for whatever awaits mutants on the horizon. As such, X-Men #35 will serve as the final act of the Krakoan Age. To honor such an important part of the X-Men’s legacy, Marvel is bringing some acclaimed talents from the Krakoan Age together for a new epic-length story. These talented folks include Gerry Duggan, Kieron Gillen, Al Ewing, Lucas Werneck, Joshua Cassara, and more.

While X-Men #35 ushers out one era, it also celebrates the 700th issue of the Uncanny X-Men. To honor that achievement, X-Men master Chris Claremont is crafting a story about family for the issue. Plus, he will bring a glimpse of what awaits mutants in the new titles launching this summer. The official synopsis for the milestone issue decries that all good things must come to an end. Yes, even the Krakoan Age. With Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X at their conclusion, the X-Men are facing a new moment in time. One that will change their future for years to come.

A Special Cover For A Special Issue

Honoring the extra-special X-Men #35 is a one-of-a-kind wraparound cover from Pepe Larraz. It features dozens of mutants in their now-iconic Krakoan outfits. Leading the pack is the trio that started this new age: Charles Xavier, Magneto, and Moira MacTaggert. Following behind are notable mutants like Wolverine, Beast, Emma Frost, Apocalypse, Juggernaut, Polaris, and many more. The mutants are marching towards the unknown, which is a fitting visual representation of the end of this age of mutants.

X-Men #35 is on sale 06/05.
