The upcoming X-Men relaunch is about to get less mysterious as Marvel brings new details to SXSW. A new panel from the publisher promises to shine a light on what it has planned for the mutants following the end of Krakoa. While the panel could contain anything from a new series announcement to the reveal of creative teams, any news is good news. For now, we know very little about what awaits our favorite mutants this summer. The only clues we have is the promise of a rebirth of sorts in X-Men: From the Ashes.

So, I am eXcited to head to SXSW for @marvel neXt week!

Marvel’s schedule for the upcoming SXSW includes the panel “The Future of Marvel Comics’ X-Men and Digital Comics”. This is where any and all details for the X-Men relaunch will go down. The panelists for this include future X-Men editor Tom Breevort and Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski. Also on hand will be writers Jed MacKay and Gail Simone alongside Veve Digital Collectibles’ Dan Crothers. In anticipation of the panel, both MacKay and Simone took to X (formerly Twitter) to tease their involvement. MacKay shared that they are heading to “S X SW” for some Marvel stuff. Meanwhile, Simone wrote that they are “eXcited” to head to the event “neXt” week. Although, they couldn’t “eXplain” what will be revealed.

An official description of this X-Men relaunch panel reveals that guests can uncover the first details for what’s coming next for the X-Men this summer. Everything you think you know about the X-Men will change in X-men: From the Ashes. The panel will detail how today’s most influential and groundbreaking comic creators plan to evolve the X-Men mythos and launch a new era. It will also discuss a broader look at the evolution of print and digital comics.

A New Age On The Horizon

Of course, as we prepare for a new era of X-Men, that means we must say goodbye to the previous. The Age of Krakoa kicked off back in 2019 in Jonathan Hickman’s House of X and Powers of X. These stories completely changed the mythos of the X-Men and paved a bold new path for mutants in the Marvel Universe. Now, it is coming to a dramatic end this during the Fall of X event. While we do not have a clear picture of what the future will hold, we do know that the X-Men will be back this July.

The X-Men relaunch panel takes place on 03/14 during SXSW.
