It feels like every time I talk about some Xbox Game Pass news, I keep mentioning its value for making you discover tons of great games and Microsoft first-party titles for the subscription price. Well shocking news, but Iโm doing it again. This time though, itโs introducing some new games coming to XboxGame Pass in August. Playing Hades on Xbox Game Pass is news enough for you to be checking your wallets if you hadnโt already bought the game or werenโt an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, but the additions of Psychonauts 2, Skate, and Curse of the Dead Gods should sweeten that news drop.
Hades is a fantastic game โ you probably knew that already. But Hades on Xbox Game Pass will allow a lot more people to try it out. Itโs joined by a few games, some of which will be launching on Xbox Game Pass. Twelve Minutes surprised us when it debuted at E3 in 2019, and it will launch on Xbox Game Pass on August 17. Psychonauts 2 by the minds at Double Fine, after a long long time on the development table, will finally see the light of day when it comes to Xbox Game Pass on day one. And thatโs not half of it.
Because there are so many games coming this month, Iโve made a handy list:
A lot of games are coming to Xbox Game Pass on August 5:
Curse of the Dead Gods (xCloud, Console, and PC)
Skate (Console)
Skate 3 (xCloud)
Dodgeball Academia (xCloud, Console, and PC)
Katamari Damacy Reroll (xCloud, Console, and PC)
Lumines Remastered (xCloud, Console, and PC)
Starmancer Early Access (PC)
The other games are coming on later dates:
Art of Rally (xCloud, Console, and PC) ID@Xbox โ August 12
Hades (Consoles, PC, xCloud) โ August 13
Microsoft Solitaire Collection (PC) โ August 17
Twelve Minutes (Consoles, PC, xCloud) โ August 19
Psychonauts 2 (Consoles, xCloud, PC) โ August 25
What do you think of Xbox Game Passโs August additions? What game are you most looking forward to on that list? Leave us a comment below with your thoughts.
When I'm not researching games to potentially add to an ever-growing backlog of games I've never finished, I'm scouting the next wonderkid on Football Manager, or adding my 180th hour to my Persona 5 completionist run. Likes games, and likes talking about them. Surprise, right?
