Microsoft has just announced the Games with Gold and GamePass Ultimate subscribers for September, and the line-up has a surprising classic in there as well. September’s batch includes Gods Will Fall, Double Kick Heroes, Thrillville, and Portal 2. The last two games, Thrillville and Portal 2, are the last backward compatible games that Gold subscribers will get. Games With Gold For September Release Order
Gods Will Fall (usually $14.99) can be claimed by Gold subscribers during the entire month of September. Double Kick Heroes (usually $21.99) will be claimable from September 16 to October 15. Thrillville can be downloaded anytime from September 1 to 15. Finally, the classic Portal 2 can be grabbed from September 16 to 30.
From August’s Games with Gold, members will still be able to download Calico and Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine until the end of August. While ScourgeBringer will be available until September 15.

Portal 2
The first was already well-regarded, but Portal 2 pushed an impressive game further. The unique puzzles and mechanics combined with the masterful storytelling are still unmatched. The game also has a co-op mode that players can enjoy with friends. If you have somehow missed playing Portal 2 and are a Games with Gold or GamePass Ultimate subscriber, now is the perfect time to play one of the best games ever made, and it holds up surprisingly well by today’s standards.
Gods Will Fall
An action game released last year in which you play as a Celtic warrior in a fight against multiple gods that rule over the world. A rogue-like with challenging combat definitely deserves a shot, especially if you like the genre.
Double Kick Heroes
A side-scrolling rhythm game in which you use heavy metal music to fight off zombies. The game has 24 levels, with a few licensed tracks as well. You also can make your own music using the level editor.
