It is no secret that the Xbox Home UI has been receiving reworks for the past few months. In fact, Microsoft wanted to release a new Home UI for the console this year, but it seems it will now be changed again after several complaints.
Xbox Home UI May Be Reworked Again
Microsoft wanted to modernize the look of the UI of Xbox, but it received multiple criticisms because it felt too “crowded.” Ivy Krislov, senior product manager lead of Xbox experiences, stated in a recent blog post on the Xbox website that they acknowledge that the changes they brought to the Xbox Home UI were indeed crowded and did not leave enough space for backgrounds. There is no need to worry since the Xbox team is working to deliver a balance of experience, function, and accessibility for a great console Home experience to everyone.
It is nice to see that the team at Microsoft reacts greatly to criticisms and responds quickly to comments. There is no confirmation yet on the next move or changes in the Xbox Home UI, but for people using the updated UI, everything will be reverted to the previous version.
Of course, people can expect multiple changes to the Xbox Home UI for the next few months, especially since Microsoft has a history of changing the Xbox dashboard numerous times.
This is why the Xbox Insider program is a huge help for both the company and consumers. It creates a space wherein both parties can give out criticisms and react through the adjustments for the betterment of the console. People eager to test the newest Xbox features can still join the Insider Program by installing the Insider Hub app.
Microsoft is still working on several updates for the console. Before the Xbox Home UI changes, they released several new features, such as the Discord integration and additional power-saving options.
