As 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After season 7 reunion episodes wrap up, the TV couples seem to find clarity in major situations that plagued their relationship throughout the show. Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren are no exceptions, as they reached a consensus on having a second child. Thankfully, Jovi’s mom, Gwen, seems on board with their latest conclusion and is determined to make the twosome see it through.
Why Gwen Believes 90 Day Yara And Jovi Should Not Have A Second Child
Sunday night’s tell-all episode saw the couple argue once again about having another child. Jovi broached the subject during their conversation, despite Yara Zaya’s previous insistence that she was not ready for another baby. Before the mom-of-one could reiterate her position, Jovi’s mom butted in, saying it would be a bad idea to have another child.
She gave instances of her son’s previous show of irresponsibility, including the time he went on a friend’s trip Safari. While his wife still hadn’t fully recovered from the aftermath of plastic surgery. At the time, he left his daughter alone with her despite her condition, forcing his mom, Gwen, to step in as a temporary caregiver for their 2-year-old daughter, Mylah.
Gwen chastised her son further, asking him to grow up and become the dad and husband his family needed. She also pointed out how the couple always needed a babysitter despite having just Mylah to care for. Hence, she believed they had no chance of caring for two kids. After listening to her mother-in-law take her side on the lingering issue of a second child with Jovi during the 90 Day tell-all, Yara Zaya chimed in:
“I so agree, Mrs. Gwen. We’re not in that position, we can’t have a second baby because that just doesn’t make sense. I’m at work, you’re at work, and you can’t just have a baby and let someone else raise them.
Jovi Remained Stuck On His Ideas
Despite the aligning opinions of his mom and wife, Jovi seemed adamant about the idea of having another baby. As the 90 Day Fiancé reunion episode progressed, he explained his insistence, saying he did not want to be “an old dad” or have kids 10 years apart. While many may deem Jovi’s point valid, their tiring work and travel schedules made Yara unwilling to yield. Amid tears, the 27-year-old stood her round, maintaining she was not ready for a second baby, as she barely had time for herself.
With Gwen backing her this time, Yara Zaya is more determined than ever to stick to her decision and convince her husband Jovi that they could strengthen their relationship by means other than a second child.
