Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna accused Democrats of distributing a political mailer implying she protects pedophiles. She said the mailer featured a photograph of her and Elon Musk, calling the accusation a lie. However, her denial sparked criticism from commenters questioning her position on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files.
In a video shared on X, Luna expressed frustration with political attacks. “If you didn’t hate politics enough, okay, bear with me,” she began. She then described the mailer before rejecting the allegations against herself and Musk.
“Elon Musk is not a pedophile,” she declared. “Two, I don’t protect pedophiles.” To defend her position, she pointed to legislation she said would require capital punishment for pedophiles.
She also portrayed the mailer as evidence of her side’s political success. “And three, that just means that we’re winning,” she said. She concluded by blaming such tactics for the public’s frustration with politics.
Anna Paulina Luna Faces Questions Over Epstein Files Petition
The response to Luna’s video divided users, with some challenging her defense and others criticizing the Democrats’ alleged tactics.
“You didn’t sign the discharge petition, so yes, you do,” one user wrote. Another questioned her public advocacy, asking, “When’s the last time you called to release the Epstein Files?”
A separate response challenged her account of the mailer: “You could tape this and not show the flyer?” Another user pressed for action, asking, “have you used every resource at your disposal to force the DOJ into prosecuting the sex criminals described in the Epstein files?”
Others defended the congresswoman. “We support you these liberal communists are lunatics with no original ideas or policies,” one user wrote. Another suggested legal action, stating, “Wow! I’m sorry that happened. I’d sue for defamation.”
It remains unclear whether Luna will publicly address the questions about the discharge petition raised in response to her video.
