Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) drew strong online reactions after posting on X about the Republican primary defeat of his bipartisan ally Rep. Thomas Massie in Kentucky.

In the post, Khanna attributed Massie’s loss in the state’s 4th Congressional District to his willingness to confront the “Epstein class” and oppose certain wars, while inviting younger voters to join a cross-party coalition focused on working-class issues. The message quickly prompted a wave of critical replies highlighting partisan divides over Epstein’s associations and political loyalties.

My good friend @RepThomasMassie lost tonight.

He lost because he had the guts to stand up to the Epstein class and against the war.

He won voters under 45 by 30 points.

Tonight, I say to this voters who feel rejected by Trump. We welcome you. Join our coalition to take on a… pic.twitter.com/tAGJjtct5b

In the post, Khanna stated that Massie lost because “he had the guts to stand up to the Epstein class and against the war” and noted that Massie won voters under 45 by 30 points. Khanna then invited younger voters who feel rejected by President Trump to “join our coalition to take on a rotten system and stand for the working class over the Epstein class.”

Khanna added that the coalition would “build a movement to stand for Team America.” The post reflects Khanna’s interpretation of the election results but includes no supporting footage or independently verified details beyond the text.

X Community Reacts to Khanna’s Take on Massie’s Loss in Kentucky

Several users pushed back on Khanna’s mention of the “Epstein class,” with one writing, “Your party created EPSTEIN!!! The vast majority of his friends were/are Democrats… Democrats across the country are literally passing laws to make it easier for pedos to have sex with minors.”

Others questioned the timing of Khanna’s focus on Epstein, with one commenter noting, “You have been in elected office for NINE YEARS. Guess when your FIRST POST about Epstein was? … DECEMBER 2025… Please explain why you suddenly became interested in speaking out about them after being silent for your entire career.”

Thomas Massie are introducing the bipartisan “Epstein Files Transparency Act.” The post includes the full text of the bill, titled “A BILL To require the Attorney General to release all documents and records in possession of the Department of Justice relating to Jeffrey Epstein,” along with key sections outlining the required release of files within 30 days. The image is used to highlight the December 2025 date of Khanna’s post about Epstein.

Some reactions targeted Khanna’s relationship with Massie and the political strategy, including one that said, “The fact that you call Massie your good friend just makes the fact that he lost that much better. Thanks for that.”

Another wrote, “You dolts ACTUALLY thought calling @POTUS a pedophile and bashing Jewish people was a winning political strategy… PEOPLE HATE BS. Don’t believe me? Count the votes LOLOLOL.”

The post remains active on X, fueling an ongoing exchange about the intersection of national controversies and local primary results. It adds another layer to the broader debate over cross-party alliances and voter priorities in the current political landscape.
