Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson hanging out in 2025 was the best surprise One Direction fans could have gotten. The “Walls” singer attended Malik’s latest concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the pair was also captured on video leaving the venue together in the same car. Their reunion comes just two months after they both attended Liam Payne‘s funeral in November. Although they’ve had their differences, it looks like the two have officially made amends.
Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson’s Reunion Proves They’ll Always Be Brothers
Over the past week and a half, Zayn Malik has been performing across the United States as part of his Stairway to the Sky tour. Following his concerts in Washington D.C. and New York City, Malik began his three back-to-back shows in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Jan. 28. During his second performance at the Shrine Auditorium on Wednesday, the “Pillowtalk” star surprised fans by announcing there was a special guest in the crowd.
“Tonight is kind of special. An old friend of mine is here supporting me tonight,” Malik told fans. “He’s sitting somewhere here. I don’t want to give his location away, but Louis is here tonight.”
Tomlinson appeared touched by Malik’s message. A fan shared a video of him placing his hand on his heart after hearing his bandmate’s shoutout.
Later, Malik paid tribute to Tomlinson again by dedicating the songs “What I Am” and “Alienated” to him.
Their interactions didn’t stop there. After the show ended, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were seen walking out of the venue together and driving off in the same car.
Leaving Things In The Past
They previously reunited at Liam Payne’s funeral on Nov. 20. One Direction members Harry Styles and Niall Horan also attended the service, which was held at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire near London. According to CBS News, other celebrities who made an appearance included Simon Cowell, James Corden, and Cheryl, who is the mother of Payne’s son, Bear.
Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson performed alongside each other in One Direction from July 2010 until Malik’s departure from the group in March 2015. After he left, the two had a public fallout. However. that all seems to be in the past as they appear to be on good terms again.
Of course, fans couln’t be happier. “WAR IS OVER,” one person said, referencing their previous feud. “2025 bingo card is going crazy and the crowd is…SOBBING,” another said. “THE WORLD IS HEALING,” read another comment.
Zayn Malik will wrap up his U.S. concerts on Tuesday, Feb. 4. He’ll continue his Stairway to the Sky tour in Mexico in March.
