If you thought our Proxies were ready to hang their Bangboo for a while, that’s not the case. Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 is coming soon, and with it, a plethora of events and things to do in New Eridu. During the recent Special Program, HoYoverse unveiled the release date for this new update, which is set for January 22, as well as some of the new features coming to the game. One of the most exciting ones is the addition of new skins for three Agents in ZZZ, one of which will be free. And yes, for the character collectors out there, two new party members are coming, too.
The recent Special Program for Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 had a lot of things to unpack, so let’s start in order. First and foremost, we’re getting a new Special Episode titled “Astra-nomical Moment.” From what we can see in the trailer, it’s going to be full of music, action, and our favorite New Eridu Agents. Speaking of Agents, Ellen Joe is getting her Agent Story, which is great for those who want to see more of our favorite shark girl. Furthermore, Ellen Joe, Astra Yao, and Nicole Demara will get new outfits. Nicole’s outfit will be free as part of a 1.5 event reward.
Two New Agents Join the Roster
Every version of Zenless Zone Zero comes with new Agents, and 1.5 isn’t the exception. Astra Yao and Evelyn are coming as playable characters. The former is an Ether Support S-Rank Agent, and the latter is a Fire Attack S-Rank Agent. With them, two new W-Engines will also arrive, one for each of the featured characters. Alongside Astra Yao and Evelyn, we’ll also get re-runs for Ellen Joe and Qingyi in phases one and two, respectively. So, Astra Yao with Ellen and Evelyn with Qingyi. With so many characters coming to this update, you better start saving your Polychrome if you want to get them all. And if you don’t have enough currency, don’t worry, Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 will feature a lot of things to do to help you get those pulls.
An Update Full of Rewards and Events
This time, ZZZ 1.5 will feature three log-in reward campaigns. “Brilliant Overtune” will give players 10 Encrypted Master Tapes. “Before the Curtain Rises” is a limited-time event that will give players 480 Polychrome if they log in between January 13 and January 29. Lastly, there’s a New Year Gift event too that will reward other 10 Encrypted Master Tapes. And yes, “En-nah Into Your Lap” is also returning, with 10 free Boopon for everyone.
In the event department, we have “The Day of Brilliant Wishes,” which will place Bangboos in different mini-games a bit reminiscent of Fall Guys. For those who prefer a more relaxing type of gameplay, an Elpis fishing event is coming to the game, and with it, a lot of rewards. However, if you prefer some combat-oriented events, “Endless Tower: The Last Stand” and “Perpetrator Battle” will also arrive with the update.
Beyond that, we have many QoL updates coming, more Arcade events, including a 2-player co-op mode, and many more things to keep you around New Eridu for a while. So, save the date, because ZZZ is about to hit some high notes this January 22.
