The time has finally come, Proxies. After an excellent year in New Eridu, the Outer Ring, Port Elpis, and other locations with and without Hollows, the end is nigh (for now). Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7 will bring the long-awaited conclusion to the game’s season one. It will continue with “Bury Your Tears With the Past” while also introducing two new playable characters, a plethora of events, and many rewards to bid farewell to this season with a bang.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7 Launches on April 23

Version 1.7 Teaser - "Bury Your Tears With the Past" | Zenless Zone Zero

Before we delve into the events, rewards, story mission, and characters, Zenless Zone Zero will launch its Version 1.7 on April 23, 2025. That means we’re only a few weeks away from experiencing the long-awaited finale, so save the date and your Polychrome of Version 1.6.

Speaking of the finale, this update will end the game’s season one story, which continues with “Bury Your Tears With the Past (B).” We won’t spoil anything, but if you haven’t played the first part, you should do so as soon as possible.

As usual, two new characters are joining the New Eridu roster. We have Vivian, an S-Rank Anomaly Agent who wields the Ether element, and Hugo, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent. You can expect Viviane to appear during Phase 1 alongside Jane Doe. Hugo will arrive during Phase 2 alongside Lighter. So, if you want any of the new Mockingbird members or try your luck with the re-runs, it is time to save those pulls.

A Long Lineup of Events

Story missions and characters aside, Version 1.7 will bring a lot of events to Zenless Zone Zero. Some are new, and a few will be familiar to veteran Proxies.

For the new ones, players will become managers for a flower store in “Say It With Flowers.” You’ll be in charge of crafting different floral arrangements for clients and will even be able to unlock this event’s gameplay for Quality Time. If that wasn’t enough, doing this event will give players the A-Rank Overtimeboo Bangboo. Also, the Bangboo Bash event returns with a Ranked Mode, so you can now compete to be the very best around New Eridu.

Beyond the abovementioned events, you can also expect the log-in bonus, bringing 10 Encrypter Master Tapes for all Proxies. “Eh-nah Into Your Lap” also returns to give players 10 Boopon. Savor The Flavor: Citywide Delivery will return and allow players to take sandwich orders and deliver them to characters around the city. Springtime Snapshots will task players with taking pictures of different characters. And, for those who prefer to do some combat-oriented tasks, you can expect double rewards on Combat Simulation and Routine Cleanup.

As you can see, Zenless Zone Zero is going out with a bang, but this isn’t the definitive ending. It’s just the closure of one fantastic chapter that will certainly lead to another great adventure for our favorite Proxies in the city.
