To celebrate the launch of the game’s closed beta, Zenless Zone Zero has released a character teaser for Anby, a member of the Cunning Hares. If you didn’t know, Zenless Zone Zero is HoYoverse’s next gacha game, which moves away from fantasy or sci-fi settings and sticks to something more urban and closer to the real world, with the occasional talking wolves and bears, of course. With so many colorful characters, the developers have released the trailer for one of the first characters we’ll meet when the game launches sometime in the future.

If you were one of the lucky ones to get beta access, you might be using this character already. If not, you’ll have to make do with the animated teaser we got. While HoYoverse does a lot of presentation trailers for upcoming characters or agents, as they are called in Zenless Zone Zero, this time, we didn’t see any skills or gameplay. Still, it is a fantastic video that sets the stage for the game’s setting and provides a bit of lore.

From what we saw, The Cunning Hares is a small agency in charge of dealing with anything related to Hollows. These Hollows are black mass disasters showing up in the world, and it would seem this agency is in charge of looking into them. There aren’t any more details regarding these events, but if history has taught us anything, it is that HoYoverse will explain these things as soon as the game launches.

Speaking of which, there is still no certain release date for the game, but many speculate it might be next year. Honkai Star Rail had three closed betas before its launch, with the last one taking place a month before release. Zenless Zone Zero is hosting its second, meaning the game might be in its final stages before premiering. However, this is all speculation, and we’ll have to wait and see what this company has in store for us.
