The rich world building and iconic imagery of the Fallout universe makes it an absolutely perfect setting for tabletop gaming, and that’s part of the reason we’re so worked up about Fallout: Wasteland Warfare. This 32mm miniatures game definitely looks like a Fallout fan’s dream come true, and it won’t be long until we can get our hands on it. The game is now available for pre-order directly from the developer: Modiphius Entertainment.
There has been quite a bit of demand for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, so get those pre-orders in quickly if you want to be part of the first wave of unit shipping. The product will begin to head out the door in March 2018.
The 2-player starter set has plenty of ways to play the game, either cooperatively or competitively. Besides the starter set, there are specific faction sets available (Super Mutants, Survivors, Robots, etc.), boosters which contain just a few figures, scenery to help customize your very own wasteland, and a few other odds and ends. In addition, buyers who spend £120 (about $158 US) or more will get a bonus Nuka Cola Girl miniature, complete with her ability cards, as well as a few bonus weapon cards.
Even if tabletop miniatures gaming is not your thing, any fan of the Fallout universe has to be impressed with the level of detail on Fallout: Wasteland Warfare‘s miniatures. We actually got to speak with head developer Chris Birch about starting Modiphius and what it was like creating a game based on the iconic post-apocalyptic universe. Our interview is broken into two parts – you can find part one here and part two here.
