Since it launched earlier this year, For Honor has maintained a steady, devoted fan base that continues to put in hours fighting opponents in the game’s multiplayer. On the cusp of the fighting games fourth online season, Ubisoft has revealed some upcoming new features.
Two new Heroes will be headed to the battlefield for season four, bolstering the Samurai and Viking ranks respectively.
The Shaman Viking is equipped with two different weapons (hatchet and dagger) and gains strength when opponents are bleeding on the battlefield. This grant’s two skills: Blood Trance, granting health for every successful strike, and Predator’s Mercy, letting the Shaman leap onto an opponent for a devastating attack.
Joining the Samurai is The Aramusha, a Hybrid capable of executing fast attacks and deploying quick defenses. These two new Heroes will be available for Season Pass holders November 14, 2017, and then for others a week later for the price of 15,000 Steel each.
Alongside the new Heroes, the season four update introduces the long-awaited Tribute mode. The new objective-based 4v4 team mode makes it so that teams must communicate and coordinate tactics successfully in order to capture three Offerings, then bringing them back to their shine similar to Capture the Flag.
The trick to the new mode is that once an offering is brought to a Shrine, it can offer blessing that helps tip the scales in that team’s favor. Vindicator will boost attack, Guardian regenerates shields, and Oracle increases awareness, as well as reveals enemy location on the maps.
Two new maps will also be coming to For Honor. Market Town and The Gauntlet will be available for free to all players on November 14, 2017.
If all of this sounds interesting, then you are in luck, as Ubisoft’s For Honor will be running a Free Weekend on all platforms from November 9, 2017, to November 12, 2017. All progress will carry over if you do decide to purchase at the end of the weekend to the full version, which will also be on sale the same weekend, with discounts up to 60 percent.
