Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with the Royal Family hasn’t gotten any better over the years. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly just as much outcasts as they ever were. Since exiting the firm as working members in 2020, things have been very tense between the Sussexes and the royals. Reports of major feuds and rifts between Harry, his father King Charles, and his older brother Prince William, have made headlines on a near-constant basis. Sadly, Harry is taking yet another embarrassing blow from his family.
According to OK! Magazine, Harry is planning a trip to the UK in early May. He’ll be in London to attend a service of commemoration at St. Paul’s Cathedral for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. While back home it would seem fitting that Harry would visit his father. Especially since Charles was recently diagnosed with cancer. In addition, Harry’s sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, is also going through cancer treatment.
Prince Harry Rejected by the Royal Family Yet Again
It seems that Harry wanted to be close to his family and requested to stay at Windsor Castle during his visit. However, that request was brutally denied. Instead, he’ll be forced to stay at a hotel during his time in London.
This isn’t the first time that Prince Harry was denied staying at Windsor Castle. He was also rejected from staying at the iconic castle in September 2023. Meanwhile, Harry won’t be bringing along his wife, Meghan Markle, or their children, Archie and Lilibet. Since leaving the family, only Harry has been making visits to the UK. Harry claims that he doesn’t feel safe bringing his family to the UK due to the fact that he no longer has the protection of the Royal Family security.
“The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the US. That cannot happen if it’s not possible to keep them safe when they are on UK soil,” he said in a written statement, per Page Six.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry recently got in his own dig at the royals when he declared the United States his official home country in official documents.
