SP inheritance is expensive if you look at the inheritance menu. This is because a lot of advanced stuff is upwards.

Grinding SP definitely has its own set of issues too. It’s difficult and long to grind SP, especially for units that still need an emblem ring equipped.

The process takes much longer, and while bond rings help with the grind a little bit, it’s still going to take a long time before you can start inheriting superior skills.

You may think it’ll be hard to acquire the best skills to inherit in Fire Emblem Engage.

Thankfully there are some cost-effective skills to inherit that will immediately provide use cost-effective, meaning it is good value for the amount it costs. However, these aren’t cheap per se. Some are more expensive than others, and early-game units will struggle to acquire them as their base SPs.

But they’re cost-effective, and their immediate usefulness makes their relatively higher cost.

Effect: allows the user to move 1 space toward a foe 2 spaces away to attack.

Effect: allows the unit to move 2 spaces before acting

Effect: if the unit can chain attack, it will do so when allies attack foes within the unit’s reach.
