Want something to look forward to in the upcoming year? Here are the 10 most anticipated games coming out in 2023.
This week ends a year marked by some delays but, above all, by many top-tier releases. Elden Ring, Horizon, God of War, Xenoblade, Bayonetta, Monkey Island, Neon White, Norco, Tunic.
The pandemic harmed the medium – like everything else, come on – but little by little, it seems that our hobby is starting to shape up. And 2022 has already been one of the most vital years in gaming history (since 2017, perhaps). In that case, 2023 is shaping up to be as good or better, at least on paper.
So it’s time to look ahead, see what’s in store, and pick our favorites. Then, put a hype thermometer to check what expectations we face in the new year, the games in which we place more trust.
Statistically, some of them may end up disappointing us. Life is like that. Or that it will escape towards 2024, although most of them have a close date, and we are counting on it only happening occasionally.
Let’s be optimistic and review where we will likely find Elden Ring‘s replacement in the next game of the year.
Here are the 10 most anticipated games coming out in 2023:

It’s no secret that space is a popular playground to explore in video games, but some will argue that it’s never been done quite right. However, Bethesda, makers of the Fallout Games and Elder Scrolls, are looking to once again leave a massive impression in the industry with Starfield.
Starfield is a single-player RPG that developers claim will take players into the galaxy. Suppose you’ve ever played a Bethesda game before. In that case, things will look and feel familiar with story-driven dialogue, an expansive world to explore, and a progression system that will define your journey in the game.
Starfield itself also looks fantastic, with a little something for everyone. Want to customize and fly a spaceship? You can do that.
How about exploring exotic planets? The game’s got about 1000 of them.
Whether or not the company can pull off a game of this size is to be determined. Still, it’s hard to argue it’s not one of the most anticipated games coming out in 2023.

Giant old beautiful beacons allow those that gather there to live their most magical luxurious life, far more powerful and aesthetically pleasing than taping a piece of quartz to your head. But, for the record, I’ve tried.
When a catastrophic blight threatens to darken the crystal’s magic, a band of heroes finds each other on the path to restoring light. With beings able to conjure God-like creatures called Eikons, games of political chess shaping their lands, and a very emo man called Barnabas riding into battle on a spectral steed, you just knew it was going to be dramatic.
