Amy Slaton‘s recent arrest has her loved ones concerned about the romantic company she keeps. On September 2, the 1000-LB Sisters star was taken into custody on drug possession and child endangerment charges. She was arrested alongside a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn while visiting the Tennessee Safari Park with her two young sons. Following the disgraceful incident, Slaton’s inner circle believes her new man is at the center of all the trouble.
Although Slaton has had some troubles in the past, her recent run-in with the law is quite off-brand, and her loved ones believe the root cause is fame. “She’s struggled with many problems since finding TV fame, including bipolar disorder and a messy split,” said the source. Slaton’s ex-husband, Michael Halterman, filed for divorce in March 2023. However, she is becoming more erratic due to the introduction of drugs, possibly from her new man. The source explained to InTouch Weekly:
“Now drugs are complicating things. Everyone in Amy’s life is petrified she’ll be six feet under unless something drastic happens.”
Her friends are particularly worried about her relationship with Lovvorn, saying, “It does look very dark and deadly.” According to the source, they have questions about the guy “she’s hooked up with.” With the pressures of fame and the bad influence of her rumored boyfriend, Slaton’s “mood’s never been darker.” The source further added, “Fans and people in her life feel she’s a victim of exploitation. These demons she’s had have been amplified to a toxic degree by putting her on camera.”
Fans Remain On Amy Slaton’s Side Despite Arrest
Things look super dire for Slaton, with sources saying, “Her finances are in the toilet. Many around her think it’ll be a miracle if Amy comes out of this alive.” However, her fanbase remains solidly behind her during this difficult phase. They have since sent her encouraging messages on social media. “What in the safari???? Tell me it’s not true! You got arrested with drugs while with your kids??? @amyslaton_halterman I’ll be praying for your healing of whatever you’re going through,” one fan wrote. Another comment read, “I just saw on the news about what happened. I hope your babies are ok and safe.”
Slaton’s arrest happened at the Tennessee Safari Park after she was reportedly bitten by a camel, resulting in a 911 call. When officers arrived on the scene, they were “immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle.” The TLC star, who was taken out of the zoo on a stretcher, was arrested on illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment. Slaton has, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges in a September 5 hearing.
