On Tuesday, Michael Jordan‘s $15 million mansion was broken into by a burglar who has been arrested. Authorities say the burglar will be charged with several crimes. But the basketball star is yet to comment on the issue.
Michael Jordan’s mansion occupies a 56,000-square-foot area. The former Chicago Bull legend listed the property for sale in 2012. Since then, he has vacated the premises.
The first time the property was placed on the market, its value was $29 million. At the moment, its price is $14,855,000. Despite the drastic reduction, there has been no buyer.
Jordan’s luxury home features enough leisure facilities. It is designed with an infinity pool, a tennis court, and a cigar room. Expectedly, the retired basketball star has a place for basketball. His home boasts of an indoor basketball gymnasium with the name “Jordan” inscribed on the court’s floor.
This has provided the perfect site for rappers like Travis Scott, Young Thug, and M.I.A to shoot a video. Scott’s “Franchise” video featured the other two entertainers and was filmed inside Jordan’s home. Also, in 2020, “The Last Dance” documentary miniseries on Netflix was filmed on the property.
Unfortunately, Michael Jordan’s $15 million mansion was in the news after a burglar found his way into the premises.

Michael Jordan’s $15 Million Mansion Was Burgled
Michael Jordan’s $15 Million Mansion might have been on the market for more than a decade, but it is still highly valued. Not only by artists who fancy the estate as a shooting site but, recently, by a burglar.
An 18-year-old man, later identified as Raiden Hagedorn, invaded the home. He aimed to steal some things from the estate. Fortunately, neighbors in the 2700 block of Point Lane contacted the authorities.
Lake & McHenry County Scanner reports mentioned that the neighbors’ alert came in around 4:10 pm on Tuesday. Ultimately, Michael Jordan’s mansion burglar was arrested. Following the arrest, he was immediately charged.
His offense includes criminal trespass to an occupied residence and two counts of criminal property damage. Hagedorn has been released on bail but will appear in front of a judge on April 20.
