While many might be enjoying the never-ending catalog of Xbox Game Pass, some might prefer buying a few games to keep in their library forever. Right now, Xbox is hosting its Publisher Spotlight Sale, and it features many third-party titles that are worth getting. From hundred-hour RPGs to puzzle games with roguelite mechanics, there’s something for everybody. So, if you want to spend a few bucks on some top-notch games, we’ve made a list of five you should get while the sale is live.
5. College Football 25 – $13.99

Let’s start with one of the best sports games of the last year. While Madden held the crown for a lot of years, College Football 25 took the field by surprise. It perfectly captures the College Football vibes, and while many systems are similar to those of Madden, it felt refreshing in many ways. Performing plays felt smoother, character movement also felt great, and the career mode was top-notch.
Another reason to get College Football 25 during the Xbox Publisher Spotlight Sale is because there’s a new one coming this year. If you get this one, which is at a great price, especially for a deluxe edition, you’ll be able to get your feet wet and see how familiar but, at the same time, different this new entry feels.
4. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition – $43.99

After many years and a comeback story similar to that of No Man’s Sky, Cyberpunk 2077 has become one of the most beloved modern RPGs and one that is a must-play for every type of gamer. However, there’s an excellent bonus if you get it during the current sale. It comes with the absolutely fantastic Phantom Liberty expansion, which adds a lot of content to the game, including a brand-new ending for your main character.
On top of that, you’ll experience the most complete version of Cyberpunk 2077, as all the major and minor updates have already been rolled out. It has a lot of QoL features, performance is excellent, and bugs and glitches have been ironed out. There might still be a few ones here and there, but it is a way more polished product now and one of the greatest RPGs of the decade.
3. Dead Space Deluxe Digital Edition – $19.99

If you prefer a survival-horror game, Dead Space is a remake of the 2008 sci-fi horror game, and EA did a terrific job at it. It plays similarly to modern Resident Evil titles. However, the gimmick of Dead Space relies on how you defeat enemies because, contrary to Resident Evil, you need to destroy the limbs first and then stomp on some foes. Combat might be challenging at first, but this remake does an excellent job of making it accessible for players.
While the deluxe edition is at a great price, you could get the base game that already contains everything there is to do in terms of gameplay and story. As far as survival horror franchises, Dead Space is one of the greatest, and this is the game that started it all, so it is worth experiencing, especially if you want to move on to the flawless sequel.
2. It Takes Two – $13.99

You may know Hazelight Studios for the recent Split Fiction, but before that, the developers took the gaming world by storm thanks to It Takes Two. Just like Split Fiction and other titles from the studio, it heavily focuses on co-op play, and It Takes Two got the GOTY award in 2021, so that should tell you the quality of this game.
Beyond the engaging and varied gameplay, It Takes Two tells a memorable story of a marriage that’s on thin ice, so if you have a significant other who also plays games, you should convince them to play this one with you. Also, it isn’t a long game, so you can complete it during the weekend and still have some time to buy other games during the Xbox Publisher Spotlight Sale.
1. Blue Prince – $26.99

One of the best-reviewed games of 2025 is Blue Prince, and yes, it’s also part of the Xbox Publisher Spotlight Sale. This title is one of the best puzzle experiences, not only of these months but of the past decade. It tasks you with reaching room 46 as you explore an ever-changing house. However, there’s a catch. The house resets, and you need to unlock permanent upgrades to progress further.
The fact that a puzzle-oriented game contains roguelite elements is terrific, and Blue Prince executes both aspects perfectly. There may be other games to watch out for this year, but this one is a clear GOTY contender among the big ones we’ve seen in 2025. It might not have the biggest discount, but even without one, it is one you should definetely get.
