Despite its somewhat linear presentation, Immortals of Aveum can overwhelm those seeking a new single-player FPS experience. After all, this game introduces new systems to the genre or, rather, replaces some of them with magic and other fantasy things that break the mold. If you’re already beginning your journey in this magical world and are unsure where to go, we’ll tell you the 5 things you must do first in Immortals of Aveum as soon as you finish the game’s tutorial.
The 5 Essential Things to Do First in Immortals of Aveum
Before we start our list of the first things you must do when starting the latest Immortals of Aveum game, we must say that you can do them in any order. Also, if you forget to do any of them, the game won’t punish you, as following the main story should give you the right things to finish the campaign. Yet, these tips are crucial if you want to see everything Aveum has to offer.
5. Claim Your Deluxe Edition Items
This is situational, but we can’t stress how important it is to claim these items. You can claim your Deluxe Edition items by going to the pause menu and pressing Triangle or Y. Most games don’t give such big goodies in their Deluxe Editions. Immortals of Aveum might be an exception because the items are game-changers. The best of them is the Sigil that comes with it, as it can be attuned to any of the game’s three types of magic. Plus, it is of legendary quality, so upgrading it early in the game will let you defeat enemies without an issue.
4. Find the Nearest Forge
The Forge in Immortals of Aveum is the place you’ll visit whenever you want to craft, dismantle, or upgrade your Sigils. Yet, another thing is more important than the ones above. We recommend heading to the crafting menu and making an extra health pack if possible. It is expensive and might take time, but we recommend saving gold and Essences. If you get an extra health pack, your chances of survival will rise, especially in the game’s most challenging difficulties.
3. Progress Through the Main Story
Some gamers want to go off the beaten path as soon as possible because, let’s face it, that’s a gamer’s instinct; however, we recommend you wait. One of the first things to do in Immortals of Aveum is follow the main story. Doing so will unlock some of the game’s most prominent features, which you’ll need to solve puzzles and access optional areas. Thankfully, the game doesn’t take long to unlock these features, so doing the first story chapters is a good idea. As a rule, we recommend you do a chapter and return to the previous area with the new abilities you’ve unlocked. This will reward you with new items, Sigils, and spells you can equip.
2. Shoot All Flying Orbs
When exploring the world, you’ll find some colored floating orbs corresponding to the colors of the three types of magic. Shooting an orb with its respective color will destroy it, giving you many experience points. While main story chapters and other challenges provide experience, these orbs are great during the game’s first hours as they let you get talents faster. Whenever you spot a flying orb, switch to the right color and pop it.
1. Unlock the First Row of Each Magic Type in the Talents Menu
Some players might want to focus on a specific type of magic, and while it isn’t bad, we don’t recommend it at the beginning, at least. The best thing you can do is unlock each type of magic’s first row in the talents tab. Doing so will let you reduce the cooldown of your blink or dodge ability, increase the strength of your shield, and more. Once you have these upgrades, you can focus on the type that suits your gameplay best.
