Just as there’s no shortage of bad people across the globe, the US has been on a roll lately with reveal after reveal of sexual predators. Of course, this is no small thanks to the Epstein Files being publicized, putting all the nasty rich men and government officials on display for the world to see. That said, some wealthy folks are still being caught and are unrelated to Epstein, one of whom is the Utah co-creator of the iconic “Squatty Potty.” The shocker: he’s been charged with buying illegal material of minors.
50-year-old Robert “Bobby” Edwards has been found guilty by a grand jury on charges of “receipt of child pornography,” according to Denver7. It’s both ironic and appalling that his flagship product was marketed towards children. What might be more appalling to some is that this case against Edwards for being in possession of inappropriate media of minors on an illegal level has been ongoing since 2021.
According to reports, an undercover FBI agent had joined a Zoom call for trading CSAM, child sexual abuse material, to investigate the nasty individuals doing their business there. One of the people in the call was none other than Mr. “Squatty Potty,” Robert Edwards. Later in 2025, police also tracked his PayPal account, which had several purchases made in alleged connection to more CSAM.
Despite all this evidence, the authorities did a thorough search of Edwards’ house just to make sure, during which they found CSAM videos and images on his devices. With nothing else to hide, he’s now been officially charged by the United States Attorney’s Office. The viral Squatty Potty commercial from 10 years ago with the rainbow unicorn was always known to be cursed, but Edwards’ crimes have put the “cursed” aspect on another level.
“I feel it’s really, really, really easy not to look at CSAM, but people in the news keep trying to prove me wrong,” remarks a Redditor. “Why are so many people so absolutely terrible?” exclaimed another. “On the one hand, it’s just a tiny stool. On the other, I hope that guy spends a long time in jail,” says a third.
