A man in Meridian, Idaho, decided to order food on DoorDash. He, however, faced an unexpected two-hour wait. Noticing his delivery driver was stationary in a movie theater parking lot, he drove there, where the driver appeared to be waiting.

Joseph Bolin shared his DoorDash incident on TikTok. It was his first clip on his account, apparently created specifically to share what happened. The clip went viral and, at the time of writing, has garnered 1 million views, 81,000 likes, and 5,000 comments.

The Idaho man said in the clip that, while the DoorDash driver picked up the order quickly, he had waited for almost two hours for his food to arrive. He then showed a screengrab of the driver’s location, who was waiting at a movie theater parking lot.

“Dude… what is taking so long?” Joseph asked the driver, but there was no response.

He then said that his “beef” was with DoorDash. According to him, customer support was only willing to give him $10 in credit while he was asking for a full refund.

Frustrated, Joseph decided to take action himself. He drove all the way to the movie theater to confront the man. However, no confrontation ever happened. Instead, the Idaho man began following his DoorDash driver, who finally left the place he had been waiting for hours.

Joseph eventually returned home and received the delivery: a burrito and a soda.

Viewers React to Delivery Standoff

The clip sparked multiple responses.

Some users speculated about what the driver had been doing for the past two hours. One user asked, “Did he pick up your food and then go see a movie?” Others bashed DoorDash’s response, with one viewer commenting, “DoorDash needs to have a max wait. If the wait is too long, then drivers should be penalized.”

Others, however, criticized the Idaho man instead for not confronting the driver directly. One user wrote, “I’m kinda upset you didn’t confront him ngl.” Another one, worried about Joseph’s well-being, added, “Don’t eat that food!“

In a follow-up clip, Joseph revealed that DoorDash contacted him and issued a full refund.
