Surviving in Lethal Company is tough at the beginning when you have few equipment options. Enemies kill you too often or tools run out of power before you utilize their full potential. It’s tough to let your team down repeatedly if you aren’t able to contribute to gathering resources or fighting enemies. Fortunately, there are survival tips & tricks for Lethal Company that help you perform better and watch out for mistakes.

#1. Order Equipment Such As Flashlights & Shovels

Your characters start with no equipment when they first arrive on a moon. Buildings are always dark with enemies that are waiting to ambush your team. Trying to save your meager resources won’t help if you can’t survive. Spend your money buying a flashlight or a shovel, splitting the responsibilities among your team. Illuminating the dark or defending yourself against small enemies is worth the initial investment.

#2. Have Someone Stay Back To Monitor The Situation

One approach to harvesting resources is to go in with a full exploration team. If everyone knows what to expect, it can be effective. But if you are starting out or working in a team of two, having someone monitor from the ship is worthwhile. They can call out suspicious movements, unlock doors, and disable turrets. Being alerted to traps and getting more areas to explore helps you stay alive and obtain more resources.

#3. Be Careful Of Water Since You Can’t Swim

While exploring a moon, you may encounter land that you sink into while bubbling sounds play. That noise is a sign of deep water and you can’t go too deep without drowning. The bubbling sounds indicate that you are alright but you should retreat immediately. Your character can’t swim and falling in too deep is a death sentence. It’s easy to forget if you are running from enemies; stay vigilant and avoid water at all costs.

#4. Use Your Scanner Repeatedly

Most equipment has a finite amount of uses before it becomes useless. Your Scanner doesn’t have this limitation, allowing you to scan your environment to find entrances, enemy locations, and resource locations. If you aren’t sure where to go next, scan your surroundings to find a nearby position. Call your team and communicate to ensure everyone knows what to expect or where they should start searching.

#5. Grab Loot & Get Out Quickly

Powerful enemies begin to appear as time passes, especially if you remain outside. It’s important to find an entrance, run in, and grab as much loot as possible. You might alert enemies while you do so, but if you move quickly you can avoid the worst. Dying penalizes your final score and it’s better to survive with a few loot items than die with lots of loot.

#6. Don’t Provoke Enemies Unnecessarily

Most enemies respond to sound and won’t notice you if you don’t make loud noises. Running into enemies, firing weapons, or turning on your flashlight alerts enemies to your location. A shovel, stun grenade, or zap-gun might save you, but it’s better to avoid enemies whenever possible. Walk slowly, don’t activate tools, and stay quiet to leave enemies alone and prolong your survival.

These Lethal Company survival tips will help you make the most of your initial searches while staying alive. As you get more comfortable with gameplay and get better teammates, you can make riskier attempts. Learn enemy movements, get better equipment, and learn how to stop hazards to harvest as much loot as possible.
