Recently, 90 Day Fiancé‘s Kim Menzies revealed her intentions of marrying Usman, a Nigerian, despite many reservations. Kim wants to marry Usman despite her son, Jamal, and her mom’s reservations. In a sneak peek into Sunday’s show episode, she tried to convince both of them about her intentions. Find out what she said and their reactions below.
Why 90 Day Fiancé’s Kim Wants To Marry Usman
An exclusive sneak peek of the next episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? made available to ET, shows Kim discussing her plans to propose to Usman to her mom and son. In the clip, she revealed she wants to propose to Usman so they can get married, which will allow him to get a visa to the United States.
Kim also said she loves Usman and wants to marry him to prove she does. However, she explained that she had to get engaged to him to be able to bring him to the United States and show her mom how wonderful he was.
Jamal Is Unconvinced About Kim Menzies And Usman Umar
Despite Kim’s love for Usman and intention to marry him, her son, Jamal, doesn’t think it is a good idea. After Kim explained her plans to Jamal and her mom, he implied that Usman is only with her because he needs a US visa. However, Kim got offended by that thought and explained she was the one who brought the K-1 visa idea to Usman.
She also said she feels traveling to Nigeria to get engaged to Usman is what she wants. Kim added:
“And who knows? Maybe he’ll propose to me first.”
Furthermore, Kim revealed she had to get Usman’s mom’s blessings, but her mom and son remained unconvinced about the whole thing.
Kim Remains Defiant
While speaking to the camera, Jamal explained that he doesn’t know Usman too well. He noted that the Nigerian is an entertainer and knows the right things to say to get people on his side. Jamal further told his mom that her relationship with Usman is not normal and has more risks than rewards. However, she countered by saying she is 51 and wants to live her life without other people’s judgment. Kim stressed:
“So, if I want to go and marry this dude then that’s on me.”
Afterward, Jamal showed his disappointment. Yet, Kim told the cameras that she values her son’s opinions but would do what she wanted. She said amid tears:
“The love doesn’t stop because we don’t get somebody else’s approval. Like, am I supposed to just stop loving him and just walk away?”
Although Kim Menzies from 90 Day Fiancé wants to marry Usman, one can understand why her mom and son have reservations about it. However, it is a dicey situation for the 51-year-old, who is clearly madly in love with Usman. Despite maintaining she will go on with her plans to propose to Usman, one can only hope she makes the right decision.
